What is the process to become a Home Daycare Pprovider?

#1 Meet the basic requierments - You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in Canada.

#2 Prepare your home - Make sure your home meets health and safety standards for children, including child‑proofing and emergency preparedness.

#3 Complete required training - Obtain Standard First Aid and CPR certification. Additional training may be required by licensed agencies.

#4 Complete Background Check - Vulnerable sector checks are required for you and other adults in your home.
